LOCAL SPY SPOOF PREMIERES IN PERTH WEDNESDAY

By Julie O'Halloran

You don't want to miss this original and hilarious comedy.

Local movie company W.T.S. Entertainment presents its new feature film "Idiot and the Scorpion," a wacky

action-comedy spy spoof filled with hilarious twists, outrageous characters and zany computer animated critters.

The film will be presented on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at Fiddleheads Bar and Gill, 53 Herriott St., Perth.

The film was shot in Ottawa and Perth and stars all local talent, including guest star Stuntman Stu from 106.9

THE BEAR in Ottawa. The musical score features original music from Norm Berketa whose screen credits include

"The Score" and "Sum of all Fears." The movie will have a Perth, Ottawa and Toronto premiere, with Ottawa

and Toronto premiere dates yet to be confirmed.

When Secret Agent Max Damage (Amiel Beausoleil) is sent on the most dangerous and important mission of his

career he has no idea what kind of trouble he's getting himself into. Max's big task: Protect the lovely Trixie

Pearson (Angela Parent) an important member of the community from deadly assassins sent by Scorpion Force,

an evil organization bent on world domination. Max's big problem: He's a bumbling fool and the only reason

why he's still around at all is because of the help he gets from his boss, his dad and some convenient dumb luck.

He's going to need all the help he can get against these outrageous and deadly assassins who include a

deranged punk dominatrix, a couple of Mexican wrestlers, and a pair of disturbed clowns all led by the evil

"The Sting" who's got a bad hamstring and attitude to match.

This is the W.T.S. Entertainment's second feature film. The company's first feature film was a comedy-horror

called "ZARKO." It was shot in the Perth area and premiered last year in Perth and Ottawa. "ZARKO" and

"Idiot and the Scorpion," (the company's new feature film) were both written and directed by Perth native

Travis Gordon.

Each screening will have a $3.00 cover charge at the door and there will be a draw for a movie give-away. You

don't want to miss this original and hilarious comedy that will be unlike anything you have seen before!
